Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program
Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program is a program funded by the local state of Florida aiming to help students by providing scholarships.

The main basis of the program is the academic achievement of students in high school. Florida Academic Scholars will receive 100% free tuition and applicable fees.
Florida Medallion Scholars will receive 75% free tuition and applicable fees.

Eligibility rules and application criteria for the said program are available with high school guidance offices.
Federal Pell Grant
Federal Pell Grant is the largest grant program for students in the United States. The federal government provides financial assistance for students who cannot pay for their educational expenses in post-secondary or higher education.
At the University of Florida, the range of grant awards ranges from $650 to $6,195. However, it will still depend on the financial needs of every eligible student.

1. Must be a U.S citizen, national, and permanent resident of Florida.
2. Must demonstrate financial need based on the Federal Student Aid Report (SAR).
3. Must be enrolled in a degree program.
4. Must maintain satisfactory academic progress.
5. Must now owe a refund or have defaulted on the said program.
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (FSEOG)
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants is a government program that provides financial needs for needy students.

The Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships (SFA) selects and determines the beneficiaries for this program based on the financial needs of students in UF.
1. Must be a U.S citizen, national, and permanent resident of Florida.
2. Must receive Federal Pell Grant
3. Must show a financial need based on the aid application.
4. Must be an undergraduate.
5. Must now owe a refund or have defaulted on the said program.
Florida Student Assistance Grants (FSAG)
Florida Student Assistance Grants is a program funded by the State of Florida aiming to help students from their area.

The program is open for undergraduates who attended eligible Florida institutions, were financially unstable, and maintained residency within the state for 12 months before the program application.
The amount of grants from the program ranges from $200 to $2,610 every academic year.

1. Must be a U.S citizen, national, and permanent resident of Florida.
2. Must be an undergraduate.
3. Must reside in Florida for 12 months straight before the academic year starts.
4. Must meet the state academic progress standards.
5. Must have a GPA of at least 2.0.
6. Must now owe a refund or have defaulted with federal or state programs.
7. Must meet the College-Level Academic Skills Test (CLAST).
Douglas Turner Grant
Douglas Turner Grant is a grant program funded by the University of Florida aiming to help students who demonstrate exceptional needs.

These students are those suffering from hardships within their education. The SFA selects qualified students for the said program.
The grant award from Douglas Turner Grant ranges from $200 to 5,000 per academic year.

• Eligibility requirements are the same with the FSEOG program but don’t need to receive a Federal Pell Grant.
UF Graduate Grant
UF Graduate is a program that was created and funded by the University of Florida to assist students with financial needs.

The program prioritizes those graduate students but still has financial instability.
Beneficiaries can receive $100 to $3,000 per academic year from the said program.

• SFA manages the eligibility for this program.
UF Long Term Loans
UF Long Term Loans is a loan program for students who completed the FAFSA. It is known as institutional loans and the University of Florida is the creditor.

The said program prioritizes students who are ineligible for federal loan programs and those who have exhausted loans.
Beneficiaries can receive $500 to $3,500 annually with an interest ranging from 4% to 5%.

1. Must be a U.S citizen, national, and permanent resident of Florida.
2. Must show a financial need based on the aid application.
3. Must maintain satisfactory academic progress.
4. Must at least half-time enrollment.
UF Short Term Loans
UF Short Term Loans is a loan program for students who enrolled at least half the time. It provides financial assistance that students can use for their educational expenses.
Registered students can borrow up to $1,000 from the said program. The interest is 1% and will be computed monthly.

1. Must at least half-time enrollment.
2. Must be an undergraduate or graduate student.
3. Must have a valid repayment source.
4. Must not have credit holds.
