It provides benefits through 1,293 health care facilities that include 1,112 VHA outpatient clinics and 171 medical centres throughout the United States.

Eligibility Rules for Veterans Medical and Health Care Benefits

The eligibility rules for each Veterans Medical and Health Care Benefits are different from each program. Refer to the list below for the eligibility rules of the mentioned programs above.

Philadelphia VA Medical Center

  • Must be served in the active military, naval, or air service. 
  • Must not receive any dishonourable discharge. 
  • Can be a former or current member of the Reserves or National Guard
  • Must be enlisted September 7, 1980, or entered after October 16, 1981, on active duty.

Veteran Affairs (VA) Health Care

  • Must be served in the active military, naval, or air service. 
  • Must not receive any dishonourable discharge. 
  • Can be a former or current member of the Reserves or National Guard
  • Must be enlisted September 7, 1980, or entered after October 16, 1981, on active duty.

Basic Medical Benefits Package for Veterans

  • This program was given to all of the veterans in the United States.

Apply for Veterans Medical and Health Care Benefits

Application process Veterans Medical and Health Care Benefits are the same from each program.

Veterans can download and pass the application form within the Health Eligibility Center. Visit the Veteran's affairs official website for an application form.

For the application process, applicants must prepare the following documents.

  2. Military discharge papers (DD214)
  3. Insurance card information
  4. Gross household income
